All-Italian is the new and challenging collaboration between Bartoli Design and Lago, now introducing the Janeiro table.
The brand commissioned the Studio to design a piece which is familiar to the designers, who have been studying that typology for years, developing functional, long-lasting, quality solutions.
Janeiro interprets and combines the spirit of Lago and Bartoli Design: an unconventional soul, solid and long lasting materials shaping rigorous geometries, a contemporary approach in meeting the demand for products with a strong language.
Hence Janeiro, a table distinguished by its fine play on balance, volumes and materials. The base is formed by two dome-shaped solids, positioned one above the other in a perfect balance, supporting the top, made of clear or smokey glass, allowing the peculiar base to be seen.
Light and delicate is the match of the two solids in the base, which is firm and textural as well, thanks to the moulded concrete in a natural finish which is made of. The passing frame, connecting base and top, is made of steel. Tops may be circular, oval or rectangular.
As Bartoli Design explains: ‘The Janeiro family of tables is born from the fascination of the Sugar Loaf rocky monolith, landmark of the Brazilian metropolis. The concrete base of the tables, realizes a genuine and materic approach and the idea of a stone monolith. Looking at
Janeiro, one has the perception that the top stays above the base in a magical balance’.
A new challenge that Bartoli Design enthusiastically welcomed, respecting the specific features of the innovative Veneto-based brand.
