The O_O project, which marked Bartoli Design’s return to the bathroom world and the beginning of the collaboration with Rexa Design, expands with new versions and finishes, becoming a transversal solution for the bathroom.
Created as a freestanding washbasin and then developed in the over-counter basin and suspended version, O_O changes its face also thanks to new finishes, Corian® (Glacier White, Deep Nocturne black, Deep Cloud gray and Dune Prima) and marble, in the precious variants Black Marquinia and Carrara, to which the innovative “Acid Shield” treatment has been added: a revolutionary protective, satin to the touch, against acids, dyes and fats, which allows the stone not to alter its natural chromatic qualities.
Today O_O is, therefore, a complete washbasins family that expresses, as in the desire of Bartoli Design, the purity and harmony of the shapes for the achievement of refined elegance.
“O-O implements our design research to reach both a structural and aesthetic balance” Anna and Paolo Bartoli explain “In the freestanding and suspended models, two cylinders, base and basin, with different proportions, combine in a formal equilibrium, in a balance of overhangs and volumes”.
This produces a perfect harmony of shapes which, in their simplicity, take in a sculptural relevance. Furthermore, the Architects continue: “The ‘offset’ of the basin allows, again in these two versions, to create a place for the tap on the base or a tiny top over the column when the tap is wall or floor mounted”.
Geometric compositions also found in the over-counter basin variant where, in contrast, there are two different solids: the clear and linear parallelepiped of the base with the cylindrical and sinuous basin. In this case as well, the iconic appearance is expressed through simple and intelligible shapes, with the strongly cantilevered basin striking for its harmonious grace.
