Twix® by Déco, the collection of cladding with a slatted effect for walls and false ceilings, offers to the professionals a range of quality and long-lasting products, characterized by technical performance and able to bring numerous advantages to buildings.
Made in Ultrashield® composite wood, Twix® is suitable for indoors and outdoors: offering the resistance and stability of composite wood, this collection of cladding allows to enhance the aesthetic performance of architecture with symmetrical lines and geometries in many finishes, formats and sizes.
Three recent projects signed by Déco show how Twix®, with its regular succession of wooden slats, can give warmth and dynamism both to indoor spaces, as in the Gragnano (NA – Italy) building, and to the exterior, offering continuous solutions between indoor and outdoor as happens in two homes in Messina (Italy).
In Messina, Twix® covers parts of the façade of two private residences, improving their performance as concern thermal and acoustic insulation and enhancing the performance of traditional outdoor insulation systems (coating). Twix® modular cladding helps minimize thermal bridges, enhancing the insulation coefficient of the façades and improving the energy performance of the building.
In one of the two Sicilian villas, the entire external volume of the ground floor, in contrast with the pure white of the upper floor, is covered with Twix® Claddy, characterized by 2 elements of 9cm that create a regular alternation of large slats.
For the second residence was chosen Twix®XL. This, laids in some strategic portions both on the ground floor and on the upper floor, creates a dynamic and elegant compositional game. In this XL variant, the profile is made up of 3 smaller 5cm elements, for an effect with more evident geometries.
In the indoor installation, in addition to its aesthetic qualities, Twix® promote a reduction in reverb, thus improving acoustic performance within the rooms.
In a villa in Gragnano (NA – Italy) the profile elegantly covers portions of walls and ceiling, living room and dining room, creating a chromatic and material effect that gives warmth and personality to the rooms in harmony with the furnishings and perfectly matched to the other materials used, such as marble and glass. Here Twix® was chosen in its Classic version or profile with 2.5cm elements in the Teak finish.
Impervious to any type of external, natural, environmental or chemical aggression, Twix® is guaranteed for up to 25 years after installation and is even maintenance free.
In line with the company’s philosophy, Twix® is eco-sustainable: the wood flour of which they are composed is obtained from recycled chips and thus has zero impact on deforestation whilst the HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) component is a substituted of the more resistant, durable and easily recyclable PVC.
