Tulip, La Lollo, and Nuvem collections take center stage in the project by interior designer Gianluca Chiocca.
The excellence of Slamp’s decorative lighting meets the elegance and attention to detail of Solidani Salons in Rome, the exclusive hair salons led by renowned hair stylist Alessia Solidani.
The restyling of the 3 spaces—including the latest location in Rome’s EUR district—was curated by interior designer Gianluca Chiocca, who selected 3 poetic collections from Slamp to enrich the interiors: Tulip, La Lollo, and Nuvem.
Handcrafted at Slamp’s headquarters in Pomezia, each lamp uniquely shapes light, enhancing the sensory experience offered by the salons.
“With Slamp, we found the ideal partner to bring luminous form to the Solidani spaces. Their lights are not just functional elements, but true signature pieces that complete the story of the place,” says Gianluca Chiocca.
Designed to blend aesthetics, functionality, and ambiance, the project called for lighting that is both theatrical and harmonious with its surroundings. Slamp met these requirements perfectly, bringing to life a concept where visual identity, atmosphere, and visual comfort play a central role.
The selected lighting includes:
Tulip, designed by Marc Sadler, is elegant, lightweight, and dreamlike. Inspired by the shape of tulips, it gently evokes femininity, a core value of the Solidani brand.
Each petal, made of Lentiflex® and hand-shaped by Slamp’s “Sarte della Luce,” makes every flower unique. Nearly invisible steel cables suspend the blooms, which emerge from brushed brass stems inclined to suggest natural growth.
La Lollo, a wall lamp designed by Lorenza Bozzoli, emits a warm, enveloping light that creates a welcoming, relaxing atmosphere.
Inspired by 1950s glamour, it is made of Lentiflex® and features metallic gradients and textile-inspired textures, giving it a timeless elegance.
Nuvem, a creation by Miguel Arruda, is installed above the shampoo area.
Both scenic and functional, it conceals ceiling infrastructure and diffuses a soft, non-glaring light, ideal for both stylists and reclining guests.
This innovative modular system consists of hexagonal elements manually assembled through an intuitive connection mechanism. Highly customizable in both size and layout, Nuvem can be shaped into floating ceilings using a push-and-pull device. The collection was recently expanded with an outdoor version.
In a beauty salon, lighting is not merely a technical requirement but a strategic element: it must enhance facial features, render colors accurately, and create a soothing, harmonious environment.
Slamp rises to this challenge through its expertise in lighting design, exclusive use of patented Lentiflex® material, and 100% Made in Italy craftsmanship.
The result is a space where light is not just a functional tool, but the main character in a compelling visual and emotional narrative, just like in the Solidani Salons.
