Nuvem Outdoor lighting system by Miguel Arruda selected for Italy’s most prestigious design award shortlist.
Slamp is proud to announce that Nuvem Outdoor, the modular lighting system designed by Miguel Arruda, has been selected for the ADI Design Index 2025, entering the shortlist of products competing for the most important recognition in Italian design.

Every year, the ADI Permanent Design Observatory selects the best national production, highlighting products and projects that stand out for their innovation, quality, and cultural value. This selection becomes part of the ADI Design Index, the official compendium of the finest Italian design—a prestigious showcase that anticipates the candidates for the renowned Compasso d’Oro award. This achievement marks a significant milestone for Slamp, confirming the company’s ability to merge design research, aesthetics, and technological innovation, taking light beyond the conventional boundaries of indoor spaces.
“Being selected for the ADI Design Index is a source of great pride and validates Slamp’s direction and vision—a journey that blends research, design, and the poetry of light. With Nuvem Outdoor, we wanted to bring the same magic that has always defined our indoor creations to outdoor spaces, transforming them into sensory and artistic experiences.” Roberto Ziliani – CEO Slamp (Compasso d’Oro ADI alla Carriera 2024)

Nuvem Outdoor
Unveiled at Euroluce 2025, Nuvem Outdoor marks Slamp’s debut in outdoor lighting, while preserving the poetic, elegant, and experimental soul that has defined the brand for over thirty years. The system consists of hexagonal V0 polycarbonate modules, conceived as an emotional luminous scenography that is fully customizable and designed to harmoniously integrate with both nature and architecture. Its modular structure allows for free expansion in any direction, adapting to walls, ceilings, or decorative surfaces, and can function as a shading element or a waterproof lighting installation. Each module connects through a clip system, enabling a flexible and dynamic configuration that can evolve without complex interventions. Thanks to its integrated electrical distribution system, multiple lighting units can be powered from a single source, simplifying installation and expanding creative possibilities.
“With Nuvem Outdoor, I wanted to create a living structure capable of engaging in dialogue with its surroundings. This project was born from the desire to blend architecture, nature, and technology, giving designers the freedom to craft their own unique, ever-evolving luminous landscape.” Miguel Arruda, Architect and Designer of Nuvem
